The X1-Morph is a class in Modern Combat 5: Blackout, introduced in Update XIII.

The X1-Morph overall is an agile class best suited for close-mid range combat, falling somewhere in between the Recon class and the Assault class, but has several unique weapons which allow it to assume more diverse roles (such as the L.A.K. sniper rifle). On the whole the X1-Morph has a bit more durability, range, and firepower compared to the Recon, but lacks many of the Recon's specialty Skills (such as the enhanced radar provided by the Recon's Reveal Skill), and generally doesn't possess effectiveness at longer ranges to rival the Assault class. it is also the only class which lacks a secondary weapon.

The X1-Morph makes use of modular weapons, which, upon killing an opponent will receive a special enhancement extracted from weapon which the opponent is wielding; (e.x. killing an opponent wielding an assault rifle will enhance the modular weapon's bullet damage). Each modular weapon has a specific number of enhancement slots, as well as preferred enhancement type (e.x. the O.L.I.'s preferred enhancement is the Assault); the player can also cancel enhancements in each slot to make room for replacements. All modular weapons come with a built-in sight, and are unable to equip attachments other than camos and weapon trinkets.

The X1-Morph class can only be acquired by purchasing the X1-Morph Bundle for 600 Credits

1 Power-Up Eliminating enemies will boost your weapons; the enhancement type received depends on the weapon wielded by the dispatched enemy. (Enhancements can also be removed from the slots to make room for replacements) Further enhances the power of your weapons when taking out enemies.
2 Assimilation Melee attacks restore you to full health and remove all negative effects. Successful melee attacks make you appear as a friendly to the enemy team, and you also take on the appearance of your victims for a certain period of time. Shooting or taking damage will cancel this effect.
3 Shield Activates a temporary personal shield, absorbing a moderate amount of incoming damage.
4 Swiftness Provides a moderate increase in strafing speed. Provides a significant increase in strafing speed.
5 Peripherals Reduces the damage you take when being shot in the limbs. You take even less damage when shot in the limbs.
6 Overload When dying, you have a chance to trigger an EMP blast, revealing all enemies on the map. The EMP does not affect the Morph. Backup power allows the X1-Morph to still function for 5 seconds even after taking fatal damage. In this state, only Melee attacks can be performed. (Combined with the Assimilation skill, performing a Melee attack after Overloading will allow the Morph to remain alive).
7 Shield Upgrade Activates a temporary personal shield, absorbing a significant amount of incoming damage. Also provides a moderate damage boost when the shield is destroyed by another player.
8 Synergy Morph Players around you are healed by a moderate amount after they perform a kill.

Trivia Edit

  • The X1-Morph is currently the only female character in the series playable in multiplayer.
  • The X1-Morph's modular weapons appear to have been assembled piece-by-piece from special kits of attachable weapon components which can be combined into various forms and functions. This is likely the reason that the modular weapons all have fairly similar appearances.
