}} The UH-1 Iroquois, nicknamed "Huey" is a generic attack and transport helicopter featured in Modern Combat: Sandstorm and Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus in a variety of roles and is used by multiple factions.

The Huey was replaced by the Black Hawk in Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation

Modern Combat: Sandstorm[]

The Huey is the only aircraft featured in Modern Combat: Sandstorm. It can be seen supporting the player in both a transport role and an attack role, though the Huey's role in Modern Combat : Sandstorm is minor, and it rarely interacts with the player or environment. It can almost always be seen attacking enemies, and only transports the player once.

The Huey in Sandstorm is smaller than its real-world counterpart and features seating for approximately 6 fully-laden troops, plus two aircrew. Its seems to have a single turboshaft engine and a pair of chain guns or cannon in an odd chin-mounted position. The cockpit is entirely seperate from the rest of the aircraft and the seating is a pair of rudementery bench seats. There are no marking on the fuselage, except for the designation "RNF-01". It is unknown what this stands for, if anything.

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus[]

The Huey plays a bigger role in Black Pegasus, and is seen much more frequently. The player rides in the aircraft multiple times, it assists the player more often and for the first time, the Huey is used by the enemy, notably Pablo. The player is also seen rappeling out of the Huey for the first time. In addition, the Huey's rotors now rotate, unlike the Sandstorm version, and the entire aircraft has seen a graphical update.

The in-game model is the same as Sandstorm's, but there is a new model of a wrecked version of the aircraft. This wrecked version can be seen in multiple Campaign levels and in the Battlefield multiplayer map.

Trivia[]

  • The tail rotor is invisible from one side in Modern Combat; Sandstorm. This is just likely a developer oversight.
  • The cockpit is not visible from the seating area, most likely to save memory.
  • The guns on the Huey are in a strange position. They are positioned where the pilot's feet should be.
