Match Customization appears in all installments of the Modern Combat franchise.
Modern Combat: SandstormEdit
The match time limit can be changed from 2, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes; or no limit.
The match scoring limit can be changed from 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, or no limit.
Auto-lock can be toggled on or off.
Regeneration can be toggled on or off.
Modern Combat 2: Black PegasusEdit
Match customization in Modern Combat 2 was extended by additional game modes, maps, and options.
Time Limit (Min.)Edit
The time limit can be changed between 5, 10, 15, and 30 minutes. If a match was tied, the next kill or flag would resolve the game.
The kill or flag count can be changed from 3, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, and 100.
The maximum player count can be 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10.
Aim assist can be toggled on or off. It helps jump from enemy to enemy when iron sights are toggled.
Regeneration can be toggled on or off. It will either allow the player to be healed, or play with injuries.
Modern Combat 3: Fallen NationEdit
Match Customization on Modern Combat 3 is extended substantially, considering the addition of new game modes. The host can now create new matches from all new game modes, in all maps.

Time Limit (Minutes)Edit
The match time can be changed to 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes.
The match score limit can be changed to 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, and 150.
Maximum players per match can be changed to 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 players. The amount of players per match has increased to 12, compared to Modern Combat 2's 10 man layout.
Aim Assist can be toggled on or off; it helps the player auto target players closest to their crosshairs once they tap their ironsights.
Military Support is new to the series. They can be either earned by making points or bought using credits. They can be toggled on or off.
