Team Battle is a multiplayer game mode that has appeared in Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. Along with Battle, Team Battle is one of the most popular online game modes.
Players are divided into 2 teams, each with the objective of killing as many players on the opposing team as possible within a time limit. The first team to reach the kill limit, or with the most kills at the end of the time limit is victorious.
Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus[]
The Host of the match is able to set a variety of parameters, such as a Time limit (5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes), a Goal limit (3, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 100 Kills or Flag captures), and 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 players, as well as weather or not to allow Aim Assistance or health regeneration. 50xp is awarded for each kill, and 75xp for a headshot kill. 200 bonus xp is awarded to the winner.
Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation[]

The Host of the match has been given further options in Modern Combat 3, such as the ability to choose whether or not teams are auto-balanced, the time limit, the number of kills required to win, or whether players can call in Military Support.

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour[]

Team Battle in Zero Hour follows the same conventional rules. However the game now includes new variations on the old formula such as VIP and Barebone modes.

Modern Combat 5: Blackout[]
Team Battle follows the conventional rules in Modern Combat 5: Blackout. Players are divided into two teams - Blue ("Spec Ops") and Red ("Raiders") with a time limit of 7 minutes per match. The first team to reach a total of 50 kills or which earns the most kills within the time limit wins.
If both teams are tied at the end of the time limit, the match enters Sudden Death, in which the teams battle each other without any player respawns (meaning that death is permanent for a player). The team which managed to eliminate all members of the opposing team wins the match.

- The Blue (Spec Ops) team uses the Gilman Security insignia, while the Red (Raiders) team uses the World Liberation Army insignia.
