Battle is a Multiplayer game mode that has appeared in Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. Along with Team Battle. Battle is one of the most popular online game modes.

The objective is to kill as many enemy players as possible before the time limit is reached. If the time limit is reached before any player achieves the maximum amount of kills, then the player with the highest amount is declared the winner.

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus[]

The host of the match is able to set a variety of parameters, such as a time limit (5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes), a score limit (3, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 100 kills or flag captures), and 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 players, as well as wether or not to allow aim assist or health regeneration. 50xp is awarded for each kill, and 75xp for a headshot kill. 200 bonus xp is awarded to the winner.

Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation[]

The host of the match has been given further options in Modern Combat 3, such as the ability to choose whether or not teams are auto-balanced, or whether players can earn killchains.

This game mode is also playable, with the same conventional rules as the other games. Military Support is active (in ranked games). The first player to reach 30 kills wins the match, or when the timer runs out, the person with the most kills is elected the winner.
