The FS80 is Tier 6 weapon of the Recon class. It sports a very large magazine capacity and an exceptional rate of fire, but features low damage-per-shot and strong recoil with an omni-directional kick, becoming very difficult to control if fired continuously. While the FS80 cannot equip a grip to improve accuracy, a silencer may make the weapon's recoil and omni-directional kick much more manageable (albeit at the expense of damage). Like other SMGs, the FS80 also suffers from noticeable damage drop-off at mid-long range. This weapon is modeled after the P90, a firearm.
In addition, the weapon features a special mechanic in which the first few initial shots of the weapon are dispersed at a unrivaled rate of fire with the ROF slowing down to a more modest rate. Theoretically, the weapon has one of the fastest time-to-kills in the game, but in practice, the Bosk 3 surpasses it at anything beyond very-close range due to their better handling and accuracy.
Overall, FS80 is not very common in higher-league matches due to its difficult performance, with many players preferring the more versatile Bosk 3. If a player is able to master the weapon's recoil, the FS80 can be an effective choice in close-range encounters and for engaging multiple foes due to its massive clip size.
