Modular weapons in Modern Combat 5: Blackout are used by the X1-Morph soldier class. Modular weapons have the ability to acquire enhancements to their stats based on the weapon type of dispatched enemies.
Modular weapons appear to have assembled piece-by-piece from special kits of attachable weapon components which can be combined into various forms and functions. While modular weapons are fairly diverse in function, one common trait they tend to possess is very manageable recoil.
Modular weapons also cannot be picked up when dropped on the map.
